Why I started with Arms Wide:
After the pandemic, I reevaluated my life and career choices. I wanted to return to the field of mental health and social work. My parents became Licensed Foster Parents when I was sixteen years old. We shared our home with children in the foster care system who were from various backgrounds and cultures. It was an eye opening experience for me. It was challenging and rewarding for our family to make a difference in the lives of children who were separated from their biological families. When I saw the open position for a Foster Care and Adoption Coordinator at Arms Wide, I applied immediately. After learning more about Arms Wide, I knew it would be a great fit for me.
My favorite part about my job:
I love interacting with the children and families that are part of the Arms Wide family.
My least favorite part:
Driving in Houston traffic!
