Foster Care Adoption Coordinator

As a Foster Care Adoption Coordinator, La Tonya manages the foster homes in which our kids are placed. Her primary goal is to ensure that each child is safe and has all their basic needs met.

Why I started with Arms Wide:

As a teacher in the Juvenile Justice System I could not stand to see the faces of incarcerated youth who were mostly just victims themselves.  Arms Wide is an opportunity for me to support families that provide safe and nurturing homes to children.  It is my desire that by supporting these families, more kids can overcome their past trauma and live the lives they truly deserve.

My favorite part about my job:

Visiting with families!  It is amazing to see Foster Parents who love, support, and protect their children as if they were biologically their own.  It warms my heart to see the smiles on these kids faces and hear about their progress.

I love to travel, dine out, shop, talk and text.  I recently started yoga to just relax.
