Hosted on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at The Briar Club, Arms Wide’s annual Fulfilling Families Luncheon furthers our mission of transforming the lives of children in foster care who are in need of safe and nurturing permanent families. Registration opens at 11:30 AM and the program begins at noon.

Keynote Speaker: Jamerika Haynes-Lewis

Jamerika Haynes-Lewis is an award-winning communications professional, motivational speaker, and advocate with over a decade of experience amplifying voices and driving meaningful change. A proud alumna of Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, she transformed her personal experience growing up in foster care into a career rooted in resilience, empowerment, and advocacy for children and families in the child welfare system.

As the founder of Clever Jam Communications, Jamerika provides strategic communications guidance, motivational speaking, and facilitation services to empower individuals and organizations. Her diverse background includes roles as a communications manager, multimedia journalist, commercial actress and model, and resource specialist supporting young adults navigating homelessness and foster care.

Crowned USA Ambassador Ms. 2021, Jamerika championed her platform, “A Chance to Succeed: Empowering Youth in Foster Care.” She traveled nationwide, advocating for trauma-informed support and stability for children in foster care. Through her work, she inspires audiences to embrace their stories, turn challenges into opportunities, and create lasting change.
