William Rich

It Takes a Village Recruiter / Home Developer

As the It Takes a Village Recruiter/Home Developer, Will engages in the recruitment plans to ensure a continuous flow of families are prepared to foster and adopt Black/African American children. He loves to partner with the community and build relationships to assist families through the foster/adoption process.

Why I started with Arms Wide:

I know the work that I do will help Black/African American children who are disproportionately represented in the system find families who are willing to help them. I am excited to be part of the Arms Wide mission of transforming the lives of children in need of safe and nurturing permanent families.

My favorite part about my job:

I enjoy working in the community and meeting families that have an interest in fostering/adopting Black/African American children. I also love the family-like culture and team environment of Arms Wide.

My least favorite part:

Knowing there is a disproportionate amount of African American youth waiting for placement in a loving foster/adoptive family.

More about me:

I love to travel, spend time with my family and teach youth the fundamentals of tennis. My wife and I enjoy binge watching whatever is the latest action series on Netflix or Hulu. I have lived in the Houston metro for the past 13 years and enjoy attending sporting events, the museum district and BBQ restaurants that our city has to offer!

Ask me about:

Ask me about my youth tennis involvement, my favorite meal of the day, jazz music and my two active elementary and high school aged children.
