Why I started with Arms Wide:
After working for CPS for 2.5 years in investigations and family services, I wanted to be involved in the more joyful side of the child welfare system. I found Arms Wide and was immediately drawn to its work and mission. I love being in a position to be able to help families who want to help children!
My favorite part about my job:
Working with families to help fulfill their dreams of fostering or adopting, and helping children find their forever homes.
My least favorite part:
Not being able to help every child who is in need of a loving home.
More about me:
I love to garden, cook, travel, and spend lots of time with my family and friends! I’m newly married to my sweet husband and we enjoy spending time outdoors and working on our home together. We have a 12 year old Husky mix, Suka, who I adopted while in college, and a Bengal cat, Nollie. I love living the coastal life and we try to go to the beach as often as we can. I was raised in a musical family and grew up singing in church and performing in musicals in the summertime. I still sing and play ukulele, and I love playing music with my family when we get together. Family is the most important thing to me.
