As a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter, Jenna Brooke Warlick, LMSW, helps children experiencing foster care find safe and nurturing permanent families. Jenna Brooke earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, she is passionate about advocating for children and helping families create meaningful connections that last a lifetime.
Why I started with Arms Wide:
During my social work education, I completed multiple internships in medical social work and gained experience supporting individuals and families through difficult situations. While I valued those experiences, I wanted to better understand child welfare beyond making reports or having limited exposure to children in the system. Arms Wide gave me the opportunity to be part of something bigger by helping children find permanency, stability, and a place to call home.
My favorite part about my job:
I love building relationships and connecting with people who are interested in making a difference in a child’s life. Knowing that every conversation, event, and community connection could help a child find their forever family makes this work incredibly rewarding.
My least favorite part:
Knowing there are still children waiting for the love, stability, and belonging that come with a permanent family. Every child deserves a forever home, and I wish we could find one for each child as quickly as possible.
More about me:
I am a recent social work graduate and am excited to continue to learn and grow in the child welfare field. One fun fact about me is that I have moved 15 times, which has taught me how to adapt, build relationships, and find a sense of home wherever life takes me.
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me curled up with a good book, catching up on reality TV, exploring a local farmers market, or taking a long walk. I also enjoy discovering new Houston restaurants and am always looking for my next favorite spot. Whether I’m reading, exploring the city, or spending time outdoors, I love opportunities to learn something new and connect with others.
