Kelly Myshrall

Foster Care and Adoption Training and Recruitment Supervisor

As the Foster Care and Adoption Training and Recruitment Supervisor, Kelly Myshrall oversees the training and recruitment efforts of Arms Wide aimed at attracting and developing foster and adoptive families that meet the unique and diverse needs of the children in the custody of The Department of Family Protective Services.

Why I started with Arms Wide:

I choose Arms Wide because I believe in its mission to transform the lives of children in Houston and South Texas who need safe and nurturing permanent families.

My favorite part about my job:

I feel blessed to have the calling on my life to help children and families. I love seeing a family go from start to finish in the foster care and adoption process. Seeing a child return home to their family in a healthier and happier situation than they came, or seeing a child be adopted into a loving forever family is my motivation to keep showing up and doing the work every day!

More about me:

I am a wife and a mother to three human children and 2 fur children. My children are involved in many after-school activities and sports, so we stay quite busy with that! I am a former foster parent and have worked with children and families since 2011. I am a big Houston Astros fan and even named my dog after Alex Bregman.

Ask me about:

Perfume! I am a collector and enthusiast. I am even a part of a fragrance lovers group that meets monthly in the Houston area.
